Factory Connection opens again after damage

Factory Connection is back open for business after a roof collapse forced a temporary shut down last month.

Water damage from a heavy rainfall in early July caused corrosion of the roof, which led to the eventual collapse.

The incident occurred on July 10, and the store has been closed ever since, which forced them to miss a good portion of back to school shopping, including the July tax-free holiday weekend.

Store Manager Frances Spann said that a crew came in and cleaned the carpet, inspected the walls, and fixed the roof before she could announce the re-opening of the store.

She also said that she plans to hold a grand re-opening, but does not have a set date for that yet.

As a part of the re-opening, Spann is currently selling a collection of collegiate shirts, fall clothing, back to school clothes, and a deal for Buy 1, Get 1 Half-off on jeans.

Factory Connection has more than 300 stores in 16 states and is based in Alabama.

The store is located in the Sanford Station shopping plex.

The store’s phone number is 334-222-4038.
