The subject involved in Thursday night’s officer involved shooting has been identified as Peter Daniel Grima, 65, of Andalusia. The shooting occurred at a residence on North Carter Road in Crenshaw County.

The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. today, Aug.17, in Crenshaw County.

ALEA is investigating at the request of the Crenshaw County Sheriff.

Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be turned over to the Crenshaw County District Attorney’s office. Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.
