The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce invites golf enthusiasts to join them ast they “Putt Covington County First” at the 12th Annual Chamber Classic, a fun day of team building and networking all for a good cause.

The Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament is its only fundraiser for the year.

“Our program of work is designed to make Andalusia a better place to live and work,” Executive Director Chrissie Duffy said. “We need your support to continue to enhance the quality of life for the residents of the Andalusia area while supporting our local businesses.”

Those interested are encouraged to invite a friend, business partner or customer. The tournament is set for Mon., Aug. 28, with two tee times to choose from – 7:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. Registration for a 3-Player team is $300 and a single player costs $100.

Lunch and a Ball Drop are planned at noon, with an awards reception at 6 p.m.

Each Player will receive 18 holes of golf, cart, catered lunch, Chamber Classic welcome bag, and an invitation to the awards reception.

A $300 cash prize will be given to the first place team (each flight) and $150 cash prize to the second place team (each flight). The “Closest to the Pin” will win $75, as well as the longest drive.

Chamber directors are also selling $10 chances on a $1,000 Cash Ball Drop Sweepstakes! Purchase numbered golf balls to be dropped by helicopter over a target hole. Closest to the hole wins $1,000.
