The Florala Police Department responded to an alleged domestic violence call Tuesday before arresting Wesley Quimby for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.

Quimby, 24, and his wife were at a friend’s house visiting on 9th Street when a quarrel broke out, said FPD Chief Sonny Bedsole.

Reports were made that Quimby was making threats to use his pistol.

Upon further investigation, Bedsole said, Quimby’s wife reported that he had marijuana at their house on South 6th Street.

After receiving consent to search the home, police found a small amount of marijuana and a couple of grinders before placing Quimby under arrest.

His bond was set at $3,500 and he is being held at Covington County Jail.
