First United Methodist Church of Andalusia is planning a free outdoor musical event to celebrate the community, the church’s growth and its future.

FUMC is about to begin a major renovation and build a children’s wing. To celebrate that, The Hedgerow Folk will perform on the lawn of Springdale from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 5. The Christian music group includes

Jon Myles, Amanda Hammett and Bryant Hains.

Scott Rogers, Jeff Sellers and Aubrey McKee, among other locals, will lead praise and worship, and there will be a special performance by the kids of FUMC.
The FUMC Youth will offer concessions. All proceeds benefit the “Dare to Dream” campaign, updating and expanding the FUMC campus.
Area residents are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a fall night outdoors.
