The Opp Bobcats prepare to hit the road on Friday night as the travel to take on Wicksburg in a Class 3A, Region 2 battle.

“We know that we are going to have our work cut our for us again this week,” Opp head coach Brent Hill said. “Wicksburg is a very good and very physical team. They are pretty similar to T.R. Miller.”

Hill said the Wicksburg plays with a lot of confidence and will be a tough opponent.

“They have 19 seniors that returned from last year’s team,” Hill said. “For 3A football, that is a lot of players. You can tell that they know what they are doing and they believe in what they are going.”

For Opp, Hill said his players will have to adjust to what Wicksburg brings to the table.

“They are going to be very physical and they are going to play hard,” Hill said. “For us, we have to be able to match their physicality and play with a lot of effort.”

Hill said that he knows his players are up for the battle.

“It’s going to be a fun challenge,” Hill said. “If we execute and not turn the ball over, we will be OK.”

Opp and Wicksburg kickoff tonight at 7 in Wicksburg.
