Opp preps for homecoming

The Opp Bobcats (1-2, 1-1) look to bounce back from a loss to Wicksburg as they prepare to take on Houston Academy (0-4, 0-2) tonight in Opp for homecoming.
The Class 3A, Region 2 bout will feature two teams that are looking to right the ships after early season struggles.
It’s hard to judge the Bobcats by their record considering the two teams that beat them are a combined 6-0 coming into the week.
Last week, Opp fell 41-0 to Region 2 leader Wicksburg, but defeated region rival Straughn 26-0 the week prior.
This will just be the second time that Opp and Houston Academy have met on the gridiron with the Bobcats winning last year’s contest 55-0.
Houston Academy comes into the game with a four-game losing streak.
Last week, Dalelville knocked off Houston Academy 28-8.
Houston Academy has scored 57 points and given up 107 points through the first four weeks of the season.
Homecoming festivities will begin at 6 p.m., with kickoff between Opp and Houston Academy at 7 p.m.
