A local man is facing charges of impersonating a police officer after he allegedly was trying to stop locals in the Antioch community.

Drug Task Force agents arrested Michael David Fendley and found him in possession of emergency lights in his vehicle, a black police-type vest and a fugitive recovery badge.

DTF agents were working the area after reports of a white male in a brown Ford Ranger was using an emergency light in an attempt to stop traffic in the area.

Agents received information from a person in the area that the vehicle had attempted to stop him.

The victim told agents that Fendley had been seen at a home near Antioch.

Agents found Fendley and he confessed to agents that he had been using the lights to scare motorists and get them to obey traffic laws.

He was arrested for impersonating a police officer.

He was booked into the Covington County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
