The Class 4A top-ranked Andalusia Bulldogs know they have a battle on their hands as they travel to Thomasville tonight to take on the No. 4-ranked Tigers in a Region 1 battle.

Andalusia and Thomasville are currently undefeated in region play.

“I think everyone on both sides is aware of what is at stake Friday night,” Andalusia head coach Trent Taylor said. “The winner of this game will put themselves in a good situation, but there are still two more region games left after this one.”

A win tonight for the Bulldogs, will clinch a playoff spot and it will go a long way in securing home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Taylor said the Bulldog defense will have to be on top of their game to slow down the Tiger offensive attack.

“They are going to be different than any team we have played to this point,” Taylor said. “Their quarterback is a tremendous talent and can throw the ball as well I’ve seen. He has four good receivers, and two of those are is he go-to guys. He isn’t scared to throw to any of them. They will test our secondary more than anyone has this year. They also have a good running game, so you can’t just focus on the passing game because if you do, they will beat you between the tackles.”
