Andalusia Isshinryu students pick up top finishes

Several members of Andalusia Isshinryu Karate recently earned top finishes in various karate tournaments around the south.

At the Gulf Coast Martial Arts Championship in Crestview, Andalusia Isshinryu students saw their names a top the leaderboards all day.

Taj Patel picked up first place finishes in youth black belt weapons and kata.

Keith Tankersley came home with a first place finish in black belt fighting, second place in kata and third place in weapons.

Mack McIntyre earned a first place finish in intermediate weapons.

Ashton Bailey battled for a pair of first place finishes in beginning kata and fighting.

Jacob Jernigan finished first in brown belt kata and third place in fighting.

Jarod Jernigan came in second place in brown belt kata.

Johnathan Rudd earned first place finishes in both beginning kata and fighting.

In the Beach Brawl Martial Arts Championships in Gulf Shores, Andalusia Isshinryu’s Kila Owens continued her strong year another top finish.

Owens finished first in adult black belt kata and third in weapons. She placed fourth in women’s black belt fighting.
