Man flees, foot chase follows

An Andalusia man escaped custody of local law enforcement and is now facing multiple charges.
On Tues., Oct. 24, District Attorney Investigator David Brownlee arrested Terry McClain, 35, at the boarding house on South Cotton Street in Andalusia on warrants for violation of probation.
Law enforcement officials said Wednesday that after Brownlee cuffed McClain, he found him in possession of methamphetamine and spice.
Then, McClain escaped by pulling his hands through his handcuffs and ran on foot.
After a foot chase, Andalusia police officers and DA Investigator Brownlee were able to take McClain into custody.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude and escape III. His bond is set at $78,000.
He was booked into the Covington County Jail on a $78,000 bond.
