Riley Green and BlackJack Billy will be the headline entertainment for the Saturday night spot in the 58th annual Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo in March.
Opp Mayor Becky Bracke announced the acts at Monday night’s council meeting.
“The young people and college people really like them,” she said. “We are real excited.”
Green is a native of Jacksonville, Ala., and has achieved “an incredible amount of success for someone doing it all on their own,” his website says.
He has released three popular EPs, starred in two TV shows – winner of Redneck Island on CMT and his own hunting show on DirtRoadTV.
Green was born into songwriting and performing, he says in his bio on his website.
“My PawPaw opened a music hall in 2003, where he’d always say ‘music goes from the bar room to the pulpit and back’ each Friday night,” Green said.
He has songs such as “Bury Me in Dixie,” “Chasin’ this Drunk,” “Outlaws Like Us,” “Little Hank,” “Run out of Tears,” and more.
BlackJack Billy is known for songs such as “The Booze Cruise,” “Blood Sweat and Beer,” and “Born to Ride.”
The group is an American country rock group and includes Noll Billings, Ian Munsick, Jeff Coplan and Brad Cummings.
The rodeo is set for March 24-25 at Channell-Lee Stadium.
The Charlie Daniels Band is set to play Sunday afternoon.
