Andalusia Health names new HR director

Melody Miller-Collette started serving as Andalusia Health’s new Human Resources Director (HRD) on Oct. 30, 2017.

Miller-Collette joins Andalusia Health with more than 20 years of experience in human resources with most of her experience in the healthcare industry.

Most recently, Miller-Collette served as HRD at Merit Health (a Community Health System-CHS hospital) a 158-bed acute care hospital with more than 900 employees in Biloxi. Prior to being promoted within CHS to Merit Health, she served as HRD at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview. She also served as HRD for Capital Regional Medical Center (an HCA facility) in Tallahassee.

In addition to her experience in the healthcare industry at the hospital and regional level, she also served as Healthcare Facilities and Service Consultant for the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) in Tallahassee. Throughout her career, Miller-Collette has successfully led all HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, grievance management, employee health and safety, workers compensation, benefits and payroll.

Miller-Collette has a master of science in Human Resources and Organizational Management from National Louis University and a bachelor of science in Business Administration from the University of South Florida. She received her SPHR Certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute and is a Senior Certified Professional within the Society for Human Resource Management.
