2 die in wreck, River Falls man injured

A River Falls man was involved in a wreck in Conecuh County in which two Louisiana residents were killed.
Alabama Law Enforcement Spokesperson Derek Gessner said that a two-vehicle crash occurred at 4:14 p.m., on Thursday, and claimed the life of an Ama, La., man and a LaPlace, La., woman, and injured another.
Stanley Stewart Jr., 24, and Zena S. Moore, 23, were killed when the 2005 Nissan 350Z Stewart was driving collided with a 2006 Freightliner.
Stewart and Moore, who were not using seat belts, were pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the Freightliner, Jimmie Calloway of River Falls, was injured and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
The crash occurred on I-65 at the 80.6 mile marker, 17 miles south of Evergreen.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
