“It was a really good year,” Wilson said. “I felt like we got better with every game. In that first game against Shades Valley, we really learned a lot about ourselves. The thing about this team is we all got along and really played well together. We are all brothers and we approached each game with a selfless manner. As a team, we had one goal and that was to win every game.”

Wilson helped lead the Bulldogs to fourth-round of the Class 4A state playoffs for the second year in a row. As a sophomore, Wilson helped guide the Bulldogs to the third round of the playoffs.

“Andalusia has really taught me a lot in three years,” Wilson said. “After being at Straughn for nine years, I was unsure about the move to Andalusia, but I’ve grown close to a lot of people and have made friendships here that will last a lifetime. I just want to thank the community and my coaches for all of the support over the years. I’ve had the best coaches that you can ask for. The teachers at Andalusia have been amazing. They are the best in the world. Not only do they teach you, but they actually care about you and want to make a positive impact on your life.”

In 2017, Wilson passed for 2,388 yards and 29 touchdowns. He completed 143-of-213 pass attempts. He also rushed for 783 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Wilson finishes his high school football career with 5,189 yards passing with 57 touchdowns. His career completion percentage is slightly above 60.

Following graduation, Wilson will attend the University of South Alabama where he will play baseball for the Jaguars.
