This year’s Low Country Boil hosted by the First Presbyterian Church will be Fri., Jan. 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets will cost $20 and the church encourages people to buy them early on instead of at the function.
The Rev. Bob Madsen, pastor of First Presbyterian, said all proceeds will go to the Love Thy Neighbor fund. Love Thy Neighbor provides hot meals several times a month at First Presbyterian for anyone who needs a hot meal.
The menu will include shrimp, corn on the cob, cole slaw, French bread, potatoes and dessert. This year they will also include a kid’s dinner of hot dogs and potato chips.
They are expecting at least 150 tickets to be sold and encourage everyone to eat in the church, but dinners can be taken out.
