BULLDOGS NET AREA WIN: Andy blows past W.S. Neal on hardwood

The Andalusia Bulldogs got back in the groove on Friday night when they knocked off W.S. Neal 55-36 in Brewton.

One night after falling big in the opening area match of the season, the Bulldogs got things back on the right track with a strong win over area-rival  W.S. Neal.

Andalusia came looked like the intended to make a statement as the came scorching out of the gate.

The Bulldog offense was clicking and the defense limited shot opportunities for W.S. Neal as they went on top 18-5 at the end of the first period.

Keaun Samuel was knocking down everything he put up as he finished the opening period with eight points.

Trey Wilkerson helped to the Bulldogs out with seven points in the opening frame.

In the second period, W.S. Neal was able to get a little going offensively, but the Bulldog offense continued to produce as well.

Both teams traded buckets throughout the second period with Bulldogs holding onto a 31-16 lead at halftime.

Once again Samuel led the way in the period for the Bulldogs with six points.

Wilkerson, R.J. Drish and Ethan Wilson each finished the second period with two points.

Opening up the third period, the Bulldogs came out strong and were able to stretch their lead up to 42-26 heading into the final period.

B.J. Anderson paced the Bulldogs with four points in the third period.

Andalusia was able to cap off the victory in the final period as the held off W.S. Neal for a 55-36 victory.

Samuel finished the final frame with five points and Drish tacked on four points.

Samuel led the Bulldogs in scoring with 21 points in the win.

Wilkerson finished the game with 13 points.

With the win, Andalusia improves to 13-2 on the year.
