Opp sweeps Charles Henderson

The Opp Bobcats’ junior high baseball team swept the Charles Henderson Trojans on Tuesday in Troy.

 

GAME ONE

OPP 9, TROY 3

In the opening game, the Bobcats used strong pitching to knock off the Trojans 9-3.

Case Short picked up the win on the mound going two innings and striking out two batters.

Chandler Pyron also threw two innings and struck out two batters.

At the plate, Jesse Coon paced the Bobcats going 3-for-3 with two RBIs, two doubles, two stolen bases and one run scored.

Lane Ballard went 2-for-2 with three runs scored, two stolen bases and one double.

Short also had a strong day at the dish going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

 

GAME TWO

OPP 16, TROY 7

In the final game of the day the Bobcats blistered the Trojans for a 16-7 victory.

Coon finished the day with another perfect performance at the plate as he went 4-for-4 with three singles, one double, one RBI and one run scored.

Chandler Pyron went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored.
