ANDY BLANKS BRANTLEY: Bulldogs pick up big win on baseball diamond

The Andalusia Bulldogs scored early and often on the way to a 14-0 rout over the Brantley Bulldogs on Tuesday night in Brantley.

Andalusia got things going in the top of the first inning when Noah Kelly drew a one-out walk.

Hogan Nichols followed with a scorching triple to right field to put Andalusia on top 1-0.

Brantley got their leadoff man on board to start the top of the first inning.

Ethan Wilson then struck out the next batter for the first out of the inning.

The next Brantley batter ripped a line drive, but J.W. Jones snared the ball and threw to second for a double play.

In the top of the second inning, Andalusia Jones and Kelly each reached with walks to start the inning.

The Bulldogs loaded up the bases when Gill Morgan reached off an error.

Wilson then lifted a ball to center field for a sacrifice fly.

Garrett Davis followed with a two-RBI single to center field to give Andalusia a 4-0 lead.

Andalusia continued to drive up the score with an RBI single from Will Clark.

Sebaskin Stallworth then delivered a two-run double to give the visiting Bulldogs a 7-0 lead.

In the top of the third inning, Kelly got things going with a single and then the Bulldogs loaded the bases with a walk to Jacob Cravey and a single from Wilson.

A one-out walk to Davis then gave Andalusia an 8-0 advantage.

Nichols then came through with a single that pushed across a pair of runs to put the Bulldogs up 10-0.

A few batters later, Stallworth drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

Andalusia finished off the scoring in the top of the fourth inning.

Morgan and Davis each drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Wilson drove in a run with a triple to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 win.
