The Opp Lady Bobcats battled, but fell to Geneva on Thursday in area softball action in Geneva.

VARSITY

GENEVA 8, OPP 6

In the varsity contest, Geneva opened up with the lead and held off the Lady Bobcats for an 8-6 victory.

Graceanne Spears led the way at the plate and in the pitcher’s circle for the Lady Bobcats.

Spears finished the game 3-for-3 two runs scored and stuck out eight batters in six innings.

JUNIOR VARSITY

GENEVA 7, OPP 3

In the junior varsity contest, Geneva knocked off the Lady Bobcats 7-3.

Anna Beth Kendrick led the Lady Bobcats at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double, triple and one RBI.
