Gary Miller to keynote Crossover banquet

Crossover Ministry will hold its annual banquet on Tuesday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the Opp First Baptist Church Fellowship Center. The guest speaker for the banquet will be the Rev. Gary Miller.

Seating is limited. Tickets will be $20 per person. Individuals and businesses who would like to be a banquet sponsor can contact Crossover Ministry or a board member. Sponsor names will be listed in the banquet program.

Miller joined the staff at Westview Baptist Church in Opp January of 2013. He came to Westview from Santuck Baptist Church in Wetumpka. He has served in a number of pastorates in Alabama in his almost 40 years of ministry.

He grew up in Bonifay, Fla., where he graduated from Holmes County High School. He attended and graduated from Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Fla., and graduated from Huntington College in Montgomery.

Miller received his master of divinity from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in Atlanta. He has done additional work at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Gary and his wife, Jane, have three children, Lindsey, Eric and Rachel and three granddaughters.

The banquet will feature an update on Crossover Ministry, as well as special music.

The mission of Crossover Ministry is to provide a Christian recovery solution for substance abuse and addiction through the use of education, work, counseling, partnering with churches and the knowledge of Jesus Christ; that will help people rebuild their lives and their communities. Crossover Ministry opened its doors in January 2005. It is located on Highway 52 East, in Opp.
