Lady Bulldogs down Lady Eagles

The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs used a strong pitching performance from Sydney Arnett to knock off the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles 3-1 on Tuesday in Andalusia.
Arnett started strong and sat down the Lady Eagles in order in the top of the first inning.
Pleasant Home’s Ava Bailey was on point to start the game for the Lady Eagles as worked around a lead-off walk in the bottom of the first inning.
Both pitchers continued strong in the second inning.
Arnett and Bailey each sat down the side in order in the second inning with a pair of strikeouts and fly out.
Olivia Amerson got the first hit of the game when she led off the bottom of the third with a double.
The Lady Bulldogs loaded the bases with singles from Zaria Jones and Mary Katherine Salter.
Singles from Millie Manring, Arnett and Raygen Clarke gave the Lady Bulldogs a 3-0 lead.
Amy Kate Bulger put the Lady Eagles on the board when she launched a solo home run to start the top of the fifth inning.
Arnett picked up the win for the Lady Bulldogs with four strikeouts, no hits and no runs allowed.
