Covington County Republican sheriff’s candidate Blake Turman was hospitalized Monday, after being transferred by ambulance.
Turman said this on social media: “I had a health scare earlier today. Due to a team of skilled doctors and many prayers, I am doing great. I had a routine procedure, and the doctors and I expect me to make a full recovery and be back at work on the campaign trail in the next few days. Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and concerns. We look forward to the next couple of weeks and serving our community!”
Turman is subject to the June 5 Republican primary.
