On Friday, the Covington County Courthouse implemented the use of a new piece of equipment that will improve security and peace of mind to those who enter.
As individuals make their way to the upstairs of the courthouse, they will have to do so by way of a new X-Ray machine. Shown are members of the Covington County Courthouse Security team Glen Kimbro, Fred Piland and David Whitt being trained on this new piece of equipment. The new Baggage X-ray machine is one of several other changes that will come to the courthouse in the coming months as part of the Department of Homeland Security Grant that was awarded to upgrade and improve security.
