ILLA RUTH CHESHIRE NORRIS

Mrs. Illa Ruth (Cheshire) Norris, age 87, a resident of the Red Oak community of Andalusia, passed away Tue., May 22, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Covington County, the daughter of the late Harvey L. Cheshire Sr. and Ruth (Hilson) Cheshire. She was a former employee of the Covington County Bank of Andalusia, some 30 plus years. Ms. Norris was a faithful member of the Red Oak Baptist Church and community for many years.

Survivors are her son, Russell (Dianne) Norris of the Red Oak community; daughters Jennifer (John Kyle) Smith of the Red Oak community, and Joan Norris of Andalusia; sister, Jeanette (Foster) Weed of the Red Oak community, and sister-in-law, Katy Cheshire of the Red Oak community; grandchildren: Dustin (Melissa) Norris, Lindsey (Ricky) Snow, Tyson Norris, Lesley (Rusty) Belcher, and Kylie Ruth Smith; and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Mitchell and Piper Norris, Adley and Russ Belcher, Kyndell, Pippah and Benjamyn Snow; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Fairon Allen Norris; and great- grandson, Ashton Russell Norris; her parents; and brothers, James Wood, Harvey L. (Junior), Bob, Hiram, and Jimmy Cheshire.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., today Thu., May 24, 2018, at Red Oak Baptist Church. Visitation will be held in the fellowship hall of Red Oak Church one hour prior to services. The Rev. Eugene Meadows will officiate, and her brother-in-law, Foster Weed will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Belcher, Andrew Quinzani, Foster Wells, Mike Cheshire, Danny Cheshire, and John Kyle Smith
