22-year-old dies of gunshot wound at Soggy Bottom
The Covington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the early morning shooting death of a 22-year-old man, according to a statement released by Sheriff Dennis Meeks.
Deputies were called to Soggy Bottom Tavern at 1:59 a.m. Saturday where they found Zadarios Arlyic McCaskill, 22, dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The establishment is located on County Road 21 in Red Level.
The Covington County District Attorney ‘s office, SBI and Covington County coroner are assisting with the investigation.
McCaskill’s body was sent to the state forensics lab for an autopsy.
No arrests have been made.
