LBW Community College student Loni Blatz is competing for the Miss Alabama 2018 crown this week at the Wright Center at Samford University.
Blatz will be contestant 18 and conduct her interview on Tuesday afternoon, evening wear on Wednesday, talent on Thursday and swimsuit and onstage question on Friday.
Blatz was able to qualify for Miss Alabama by winning the Miss Camelia Crown in Greenville, on January 20, 2018.
She will sing and play piano for her talent.
Blatz’ platform for the Miss Alabama pageant is Priceless, a faith-based organization dedicated to the abolishment of modern day slavery and sex trafficking.
When asked what characteristics she has that are totally Alabama, Blatz said, “When I think Alabama, I think of many hardworking individuals and that is a characteristic that I certainly have.”
Blatz is also the current Ms. LBWCC. She is a 2017 Straughn graduate and is majoring in bio-medical science. She is the daughter of Chris and Terri Blatz.
