Charles P. Cope

Mr. Charles P. Cope, 89, of Andalusia died Friday afternoon, June 15, 2018, in a local nursing home.

A funeral service is set for 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, at First Baptist Church of Andalusia. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.

Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Foreman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

  

Dr. William Edward Palmer

Dr. William (Bill) Edward Palmer, 71, of Oneonta, Alabama, passed away on May 7, 2018. The family will host a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 16, from 10-11 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia.

Dr. Bill Palmer was a member of the AHS class of 1965, a graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He was a dentist in Oneonta for 38 years.

Dr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Diane Mahaffey Palmer; his son, David Palmer, and daughter-in-law, Tina; his granddaughters Kaylee and Hanna Palmer; his brother, Tom Palmer; and his sister, Mary Evelyn Palmer Feibleman. He was preceded in death by his parents William (Billy) L. and Jewell Palmer.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to: Doctor’s Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity or to a charity of your choice.
