Qualifying has begun for this summer’s municipal elections in Andalusia and Opp, when voters will decide three seats on the Andalusia Board of Education, and three seats on the Opp Board of Education.

In Andalusia, Dr. David McCalman, David Bryant, and Walter Wytch currently hold those seats.

Wytch has said he will not seek reelection, and former board member Sammy Glover on Tuesday qualified to run for the position.

In Opp, Scotty Short, Walter Burgess, and William Hines are the incumbents.

Qualifying ends on July 17, and the election will be Aug. 28.
