The Covington County 13-15 Babe Ruth All-Stars will host the Southwest Regional tournament in Straughn on July 19.

Teams for all across the country have been battling it out in district and state tournaments for a chance at the regional title.

The Covington County team received an automatic bid into the tournament for being the host team.

Teams will include Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Arkansas, North Arkansas, East Texas, West Texas, Oklahoma, Covington County and possibly New Mexico.

The tournament begins with the Banquet of Champions on July 19 at 6 p.m., at the Kiwanis Center.

Teams will begin play on the July 20 with the first game set for 10 a.m.

The tournament will run from July 20-22 with games at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m., each day.

The Covington County All-Stars will play at 7 p.m., on July 20.

The Covington County All-Stars include Mason Turner, Micah Turner, Jackson Joyner, Bryant Harper, Alex Cooper, Jared Hawkins, Cal Ashberry, Parker Spears, Zavier Phillips, Jake Jeter, Judd Fuqua, Josh Hawkins, Braxton Lee and Jentry Lee.
