JERRY NEWTON MILLS

Jerry Newton Mills, age 62, born March 6, 1956, passed away quietly at his home after a brief battle of cancer on June 19, 2018.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Merlene Short Mills; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn (Bob) Rogers and Jane (Thomas) Scheffler; his life-long friend and soul mate Phyllis Lee Wells; children, Kandy Croxton, James Wells, Wanda (Brian) Strawser, and Kellie Reeves; five grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Newton Mills.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service to be held Sun., July 8, 2018, at 3 p.m., at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Monroe Sasser officiating. All are welcome at the Celebration of Life to also be held on July 14, 2018, at his home at 6 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Commission, Crossover Ministries or a charity of your choice.
