Red Level looks to bounce back

The Red Level Tigers look to bounce back from a winless season last year with a strong campaign in 2018.

Red Level opens the season at home against Zion Chapel on Aug. 31.

This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2011. The series is tied 1-1.

The Tigers begin Class 1A, Region 2 play with a road game against McKenzie on Sept. 7. McKenzie holds a 33-31-1 record and inched past Red Level last year with a 42-40 win.

Red Level remains in region play with a home game against Pleasant Home on Sept. 5. The series is tied 5-5, but Pleasant Home has won the last two meetings.

On Sept. 21, Kinston comes to town for a region game against the Tigers. Kinston leads the series 12-7 and won last year’s game 44-0.

The Tigers take a break in region play on Sept. 28 with a contest against Calhoun.

Red Level holds a 2-0 lead against Calhoun. Red Level won the last meeting in 2011.

The Tigers get back to region play on Oct. 5 with a road trip to Florala.

Florala holds a 35-28 record against Red Level and won last year’s contest 67-28.

On Oct. 12, the Tigers make the drive to Brantley for a region match against the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs hold a 39-14 record against Red Level and have won the last 14 games between the two squads.

Red Level returns home on Oct. 19 for a region game against Elba.

The two teams haven’t played since 2011 with Elba holding a 3-1 lead.

Red Level closes out the regular season on Oct. 26 with a road trip to Georgiana.

Georgiana leds the series 37-14-1, including wins in the past seven meeting.
