JOEL “JOEY” SCOTT WILLIAMS

Mr. Joel “Joey” Scott Williams, age 58, of Opp, Alabama, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Gail Jacobs Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Kristen Williams Albrechtand and Luke; sons and daughters-in-law, Chad Williams and Heather, Spencer Cosby and Kristin and Isaac Cosby and Katherine; mother, Jo Ann Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Phil Williams and Sherry; sister & brother-in-law, Donna Pinson and Jimmy; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joel R. Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018 from Blue Springs Baptist Church with burial following in the Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held Saturday evening from 6 until 8 at Wyatt Funeral Home and at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Derwood Cleland and Justin Sasser will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Cory Spurlin, Jay Spurlin, Terry Hudgens, Jeffery Morrison, Greg Taylor and Brandon Bledsoe.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Blue Springs Baptist Church.

 

 

JUANITA POGUE

Mrs. Juanita Pogue, age 91, of Ft. Knox, Kentucky, passed away on Wed., July 04, 2018, at Signature Healthcare in Elizabethtown, Ken.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Mon., July 16, from the First United Methodist Church, interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Donna Pogue of Vine Grove, KY; daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy Sue Murfee, Katherine E. Pogue, and Melanie A. and David Hosmon; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James V. Pogue, and her son, James V. Pogue, Jr.

GENE EDWARD PAGE

Mr. Gene Edward Page, age 81, of Andalusia, passed away Thu., July 12, 2018, at his residence surrounded by family. He was a 1957 graduate of Straughn High School. He served in the National Guard and was retired from Gene Page Construction.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Sun., July 15, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Billy Boles officiating the service. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will begin two hours prior to services at the funeral home.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy Gene and Jennifer Page, Jeff and Lynn Page, and Chris Page all of Andalusia; daughter, Kimberly Page of Panama City Beach; step-daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Welch and Kevin Watley of Gulf Shores; grandchildren, Halie Dutton (Taylor) Bryant, Timothy Jacob (Nicki) Page, Lydia Page, Forrest Page, Lauren Page, Katelyn Page, Rivers Watley, and Ella Grace Watley; great-grandchildren, Timothy Brycen Page, Chancellor Rae Bryant, and Colton Reid Bryant; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Myra Page of Mobile and John and Pat Page of Andalusia; sisters, Myrtle Page Gorum of Mobile and Evelyn Page Wright of Andalusia; special devoted friend, Barbara Raley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.L. and Locial Daugherty Page, brothers, William Page and Alford Page, and grandson, Brady Page.

Pallbearers will include: John Weshley, Don King, Richard Page, Billy Maughon, Freeman Walker, Taylor Bryant, and Jake Page.

LECIE JOHNSON HOLLEY

Mrs. Lecie Johnson Holley, age 93, of Andalusia passed away Wed., July 11, 2018, at a local nursing home. She graduated from Florala High School and came in second runner-up in the Miss Florala Pageant. She was married for more than 50 years to her high school sweetheart, Charles Holley.

She is survived by her children, Judith (John) Replogle of Riverside, California., and Charles (Gay) Holley of Clayton, N.C.; her brother, Ferrin Johnson of Florala; her sisters, Retha Johnson Hardage of Opp and Merle Johnson Anderson of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Holley, Kristen, John and Amber; one sister-in-law, Shirley (Holley) Harrison of Decatur, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Sun., July 15, 2018, at Andalusia Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Travis Day officiating.

Interment will follow immediately after. Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia has been entrusted with arrangements.

JAMES “TOMMY” THOMAS SMITH

James “Tommy” Thomas Smith, age 63, of Red Level passed away Wed., July 11, 2018, at a Dothan hospital.

Tommy is survived by two daughters, Devon Glaze of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Amanda (Ricky) Barnes of Red Level; his grandchildren, Brady Hall, Victoria Hall, Tyler Smith, Joshua Glaze, and Matthew Glaze; his brother, Lester Smith of Andalusia; his sisters, Mary Wise, Juanita Segars, and Dianne Scarborough, all of Opp, and Ada (Lamar) Nolin of Georgetown, Ga.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Fannie (Jackson) Smith; two brothers, William Buddy Smith and Lonnie Smith; and one sister, Rebecca Smith.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., Sun., July 15, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia.

Mrs. Fairstine Clark Odom, 75, of Dozier, passed away Wed., July 11, 2018, in Eclectic, Ala.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sun. July 15, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Brother Gary Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., today, Saturday, at Foreman Funeral Home and at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Odom of Dozier; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Curt Fuller of Eclectic, Ala.; her nephew, Tommy McGaha of Red Level; grandchildren, Sarah Joy (Jack) Bradley, Julie Anne (Morgan) Atkins, of Montgomery; two sisters, Jeanette Bozeman of Andalusia, Myra Sivley and husband John of Hartselle, Ala.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Dee Clark, Lawrence and Jane Clark of Montgomery.
