A 50-year-old man was airlifted this morning, and a second victim died at the scene of a wreck this morning as the result of a head-on collision on Straughn School Road.

Gantt  Fire Department Chief Scott Fight said the accident occurred at 8 a.m. Sunday. The Heath Fire Department also responded.

The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of family members.
