BOE continues hiring for ‘18-19

Andalusia City Schools are three hires away from being completely staffed for the new school year, which beings August 6, Superintendent Ted Watson said Monday.

In action at that meeting, the board transferred:

  • Brittany Woodall from Andalusia Elementary School fifth grade teacher to lead pre-school teacher.
  • Ray Bozeman from AJHS special education paraprofessional to physical education teacher.
  • John Dugger from AJHS physical education teacher to eighth grade social studies.
  • Garret Windham from AHS physical education paraprofessional to health/physical education.
  • Harrison Mims from AJHS social studies to AHS 12th grade government and economics.

The board hired:

  • Leann O’Neal as an Andalusia Elementary School Pre-K paraprofessional
  • Heather Fleming as an AES paraprofessional.
  • Ashlynn Kilcrease as a teacher at AES, replacing Brittany Woodall.
  • Yvette Akridge as an eighth grade science teacher at AJHS.
