The Covington County Commission on Tuesday approved a retail liquor license for The Buckboard, a restaurant on Gantt Lake that opened this spring.

The commission also:

• Agreed to seek bids for concrete junction boxes for the engineering department.
• Voted to retain vehicles previously declared surplus.
• Approved surplus of vehicles in the engineering department.
• Approved out-of-state travel for commissioners to travel to the White House for a conference.
