The four people charged with murder in the Friday death of Joshua J. Mount are free on bond.

At about 2:30 Friday afternoon, deputies received a call to Hazlets Bridge located off Oakey Streak Road in the northern part of Covington County, where they determined the victim had died of a gunshot wound.

Chief Deputy David Anderson said Mount’s driver’s license listed a Theodore residence, but he also was said to have been living in Butler and Covington counties.

After interviewing witnesses, four people, all of whom are from the McKenzie area, were charged with the crime:

  • Tammy A. Bush, white female, 55, charged with murder and released on a $500,000 bond.
  • Jonathon A. Bush, white male, 29, charged with murder and released on a $500,000 bond.
  • Joseph Vernon Armstrong, white male, 72, charged with murder and released on a $500,000 bond.
  • Christopher Bradley Bush, white male, 43, charged with murder and released on a $500,000 bond.

Anderson said Monday morning the case remains under investigation.

Sheriff Dennis Meeks said he would like to commend the investigators and all others involved for their hard work and diligence in solving the crime.
