APD seeks info in Saturday night shooting

The Andalusia Police Department continues to investigate and seek additional information regarding the identification of the suspects in a shooting incident that took place at approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 11th.

The department updated details of the investigation in a press release Sunday morning.

“Andalusia Police with the assistance of ALEA have worked throughout the night to locate the individuals responsible, speaking with residents in the area of Oak Street and following leads of any and all information provided. We will continue our work and update as we have information.

“The available information, a black car riding the area without their lights on was reportedly the suspect vehicle called in by an unidentified caller last evening. Efforts to speak with the caller have been futile. No one else in the area has provided a vehicle description, suspect information, or motive.

“Andalusia will not tolerate these incidents occurring in our city and our department will call in assistance from all available resources to maintain the safety of our citizens. What we need from the public is what you know about the incident, we need the help of anyone involved or with information to bring charges to those who endangered the lives of innocent victims.

“Whether drug related, retaliation, or other we believe there are persons who know the suspects and the information we need to make an arrest. Cooperation from all involved is the key to solving this crime. Call the Andalusia Police Department at 334-222-1155 with any information.”
