SIBYL E. SMITH KING
Sibyl E. Smith King, age 100, a resident of Andalusia, passed away peacefully Monday, August 20, 2018, at the Andalusia hospital. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Shirley King of Andalusia; grandson Steven King of Andalusia; a sister Betty Lou Cockcroft of Gantt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sibyl was a member of the Pigeon Creek Baptist Church of Red Level, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many who have gone home before her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dub King; a loving brother; and three sisters.
A Going Home Celebration Service will be at Keahey
Funeral Home on Thursday, August 23, 2018, with the Rev. Billy Boles and the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from noon until the funeral service begins at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Turman, Jeff Sellers, Buck Lee, Gary Padgett, Stacy Williamson, and Jerry Parker.
The family would like to thank the Lord for His mercy. They also want to thank the Andalusia Manor staff and Dr. JoAnne Smith for their care and kindness over the past four years.
