Four juvenile suspects are expected to be charged in the weekend burglary of the Woodson Learning Center on C.C. Baker Avenue inside the former Andalusia Middle School building in Andalusia.
Andalusia Police Department spokesman Allen Scofield said the burglary is believed to have happened late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Four Apple Macbook laptop computers and a bag of assorted food items were taken. The value of the items taken is estimated to be between $3,000 and $4,000.
Investigator Lt. Jody Scott stated that four local juveniles have been identified as being responsible for the burglary. As they are juveniles, their identities are being withheld. Charges of third degree burglary and first degree theft of property are pending.
Lt. Scott said one of the four entered the building by jimmying a window open then letting the other three in through a back door. All stolen items have been recovered.
This incident remains under investigation.
