The Child Advocacy Center has put out a call for volunteers to help with its first Cowboys for Kids Rodeo this Saturday, September 1st. at the Hilltop Arena.

Child Advocacy Center director Kaci Perry said there are more than 125 entries in the rodeo. Volunteers are needed from 4 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.

“If you can work all of that or any part of that we’d love to have you,” Perry said. “No cow wrangling experience is needed — we’re looking for folks to sell tickets and help in the PowerSouth Kidzone! “

A special pre-rodeo event for foster families and CAC families is planned from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Those families will be able to and enjoy the PowerSouth Kidzone, meet the gang from “The Cowboy Way” and chase some sheep and calves.

Those who are interested in volunteering are asked to call or text Perry at 334.488.5153.
