Despite losing 35-28, the Florala High School Wildcats fought till the end, Head coach Scott Mason said.
“We were down 21-7 at the half,” Mason said. “We made some mistakes, but we settled down in the second half and played pretty well.”
Mason said that to prepare for next week, the team needs to work on cutting down mental mistakes.
“A lot of it is new personnel,” Mason said. “We have a new offense and we are running the ball more, so we just have to get use to it and quit making so many little mistakes.”
Mason said that he is proud of how the team played last night and is excited about how much the team is learning through the weeks.
“The boys are learning now how not to lose,” Mason said. “We are winning some games and now they are learning to trust the system. I am proud of them.”
The Wildcats will face the Brantley Bulldogs next week.
