APD searching for alleged shooter

The Andalusia Police Dept. is searching for 29-year-old Martin L. Watson of Andalusia in connection with the August 29, 2018 shooting incident on Pugh Street.

Investigator Lt. Jody Scott says a warrant has been issued for Watson charging him with shooting into an occupied dwelling, a Class B felony.

According to a press release from the department issued after the incident, APD officers responded to a report of a gunshot in the area of Pugh Street at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, August 29.

“Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the resident at 308 Pugh Street,” the release stated. “The resident refused to cooperate with officers and would provide no information on the incident.”

Officer observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the front of the house, the release stated. No one was injured.
