Blakeley Smith, 9, participated in “Decades Day” at Straughn Elementary on Thursday as “Rosie the Riveter.” Rosie the Riveter is a cultural icon of World War II, representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards during the war, many of whom produced munitions and war supplies. Blakely is a fourth grader and the daughter of Todd and Britton Smith.
