The Opp Bobcats faced a tough Geneva team and fought hard, but went down 49-33 on Friday night in Opp.

“I was disappointed in the way we played in the first half,” Opp head coach Brent Hill said. “We improved in the second half and gave the effort that we were looking for.”

Hill said that the players have to continue to grow and learn the game.

“We have to have that kind of effort for four quarters,” Hill said. “If we do that for four quarters, we win the game. This is a young team and we still have to learn that.”

The offense did a good job running the ball, Hill said.

“In the second half our offensive line got going and we moved the ball well,” Hill said. “We were able to run the ball well between the tackles.”

Opp’s Ashton Patel totaled more than 200 yards on the ground and scored three touchdowns.
