In preparation for the upcoming Yellow River Bridge replacement project, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close Alabama Highway 55 at the Yellow River Bridge Project on Thursday, October 4, to unload girders.

The closures will take place 8 a.m. to noon with each closure lasting approximately 15 to 20 minutes each.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution in work areas and expect delays.
