Man accused of porn production with minor, sodomy, sex abuse

An Andalusia man is facing multiple felony counts of sexual abuse and child pornography charges.

Escambia County Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Tuesday that the ECSO received a complaint alleging Brandon Hildreth’s involvement in child porn with a child in the Brewton area in mid-September.

Lambert said the the sheriff’s department and the child advocacy center conducted the investigation.

Lambert said that Hildreth, 20, of Old Salt Road in Andalusia, is charged with a possession of pornographic material involving a minor, production of porn with a minor, sodomy first degree and sexual abuse of a child.

He is being held in the Escambia County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.

“The case remains under investigation,” Lambert said.

Sodomy first is a Class A felony, and according to Alabama law, a person commits the crime of sodomy if he, being 16 years old or old, engages in deviate sexual intercourse with a person who is less than 12 years old; engages in deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion or he engages in deviate sexual intercourse with a person who is incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless or mentally incapacitated.

Sexual abuse of a child is a class B felony.

Possession of child pornography is a class C felony.

Unlawful production of child pornography is a Class A felony in Alabama.

If convicted, Hildreth faces at least 10 years and up to 99 years or life in prison for each of the Class A felonies; two years to 20 years for the Class B and one year and one day up to 10 years for the Class C felonies.
