The Andalusia Junior High Bulldogs picked up a big 38-0 road victory over Escambia County on Thursday night in Atmore.
“I thought we came out a little intimidated in the first half,” Andalusia coach John Dugger said. “Once we adjusted our blocking scheme to handle their big nose guard, our rushing attack was very successful.”
Brad Robertson had a 45-yard touchdown run.
Garrett Blackston had a 20-yard touchdown run. Damion Beasley had a 2-yard touchdown run and A.J. Coleman added a touchdown on a 2-yard quarterback sneak.
“I was very proud of our defense’s great effort the entire game,” Dugger said. “Our goal of finishing the season undefeated is in sight. Special thanks to coach (Trent) Taylor and his staff, our fans and our assistant coaches for the support.”
Tyler Sigers had a 70-yard pick-six for the Bulldogs.
Andalusia’s defensive line, led by Cameron Johnson, finished the game with seven sacks and one blocked punt.
Andalusia returns to action on Thursday at the Kiwanis Sports Complex at 6 p.m., against Greenville.
