Straughn graduate Rollin Kinsaul was named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his strong performance on Saturday in Southeastern Oklahoma State’s 31-20 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State.

Kinsaul, a junior quarterback for the Savage Storm, completed 27-of-37 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns.

Kinsaul also rushed for 41 yards on 10 carries to give him a total of 365 total yards.

The performance was Kinsaul’s career best and the first Savage Storm quarterback to throw for more than 300 yards in a game since C.B. Cantwell did it in 2016.

It was the second straight week that Kinsaul started at quarterback.

Last week, he threw for two touchdowns and added one rushing touchdown.

On the season, Kinsaul has completed 50-of-74 passes for 617 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.

Kinsaul was joined by his teammate Maalik Hall who earned GAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
