The Opp City Council on Monday voted to close the alley between Morgan and Henley Street.

The council also added Columbus Day to the city’s paid holidays.

The council also discussed:

• Sweet T’s restaurant opening in Opp today.
• Hurricane relief. There is a drop off location at the senior citizens building in Opp.
• The Opp High School Band competition Little Big Horn, which is this Saturday.
• Opp Fest, which is Sat., Oct. 27.
